Dear Readers,

This week's Featured Writer has written some very wonderful fanfics we all have loved and enjoyed. One of her many talents includes being the 'Den Mom' to Loiscla-General. For those who don't know what that is, it is the other L&C listserv which is dedicated to the fanfics and the fanfic writers of L&C. For her patiences and understanding all of the subscribers of her list are truly grateful. It is time for you to take a bow 'Den Mom'.
Now without further ado, I am proud and honored to present this week's Writer, in the Writer's Showcase ... .

Homepage
Sean and I have one, but he maintains it. And,.. it's a Tuba web page
www.chisham.com; there are NO folc stuff on there so I think some of you may be
rather bored. However, if you're a brass player, it's for you!
Residence
For now Bloomington, Indiana hopefully soon, Washington DC
Listservs, AOL, or web affiliations?
LOISCLA and LOISCLA-GENERAL-L
I am the maintainer for the general list and enjoy it. There are about half (?) the amount
of people on the general list than Zoom's list. I really enjoy maintaining the general list
because everyone seems to get along and few problems have surfaced, surprising enough.
Lois and Clark or Superman Status
How long have you been watching L&C?
I believe it was toward the middle of Season 2 Sean saw a web URL with LOIS and
CLARK and I then saw "The Phoenix" and I was hooked.
How long have you been a fan of Superman?
Ever since I saw Superman II (Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder). I really loved the
interaction between the two in this movie.
How long have you been writing?
Haven't done much writing lately, but ever since I was 12. It's nice to write about something
that could possibly happen to you and wishing something new and different would happen
to you. Writing is fascinating because you can forget about paying the bills, feeding the
fish, or walking the family alligator.
How long have you been writing L&C fanfic?
Ever since I read Zoomway's "Counter-Clark Wise" I had no idea at that time there were
cool stories written about Clark and Lois written how they (the writers of fanfic) would
love to imagine.
What types of Fanfic have you written?
A "what-if story" and I worked on one about Lois being killed by someone who wanted
to destroy Superman's future generation. It got dumped when Sean, my husband,
reformatted the hard drive. They're mostly not too great. Although I didn't really
did it for anyone other than myself. Another reason I love writing is I can read my own
stories and know exactly what is going on. Even if it makes no sense to anyone else.
Most recent story posted? Where?
I think it's on the official fanfic list web site. It's called "Mistaken Revelation"
Favorite story you have written? Why?
The one about time travel - I just had LOTS of fun writing it. It took my mind off of
normal everyday stuff and sneak into the story like a fly on the wall. Of course, the story,
before I finished, was deleted when Sean, my husband, reformatted the computer.
Personal picks of other Fanfics you have read?
I love all of Gorn's stories. However, my favorite is "Counter Clark-Wise". I also enjoy
the Season 6 episodes that are posted to the LOISCLA-GENERAL-L listserv.
General Interview Questions
What attracted you to writing Fanfic and what about it do you enjoy?
Zoomway attracted me to writing fanfic (thanks Zoom) I enjoy writing Fanfic, Because
its so much easier to picture in my head exactly what is going on. It is much like living
someone else's life.
What about the L&C and the characters do you like the most?
I love the romance and spirit of the show. It helps me realize that one should always do
what they love the most. I love Jimmy's character. He's young (like most of the L&C fans).
Jimmy is easy to identify with.
How do you interpret them in your work?
Clark and Lois Hmm, not as a perfect couple but both are spirited and are both hard
headed. I like that, I think it shows them although they fight, they both realize fighting is
stupid, because they'll love each other the same if not more the next day.
How did you begin writing in general?
I wanted to be someone else when I was a kid. Different and special. My escape from
the real world was through writing. My first story was about a young lady who had a
bird that helped her get through school and the girl could envision the future. Pretty psycho
stuff. My mother really encouraged me when I started. I suppose she'd rather see me
writing than be dating or other stuff kids do that are irresponsible.
Has *everything* been done in your opinion, and if not, what is left?
Not everything! I would like to see what any new ideas anyone has. I would love to
see Lois and Clark in their very old age with their grandchildren. I would also like
to see how Clark would deal with Lois's death... assuming Clark lives longer.
What do you think makes the best story?
When the author can literally help me see what colors are brought out and what
expressions are on their face. I want to be able to feel when the story is taking place
a night or sunrise.
Where is the best place for a reader to locate your work?
Zoomway's site.
farah :)
